OK Peeps! I know you all have been calling to see how I did on the first day of Boot Camp! Thank YOU all for all the calls and concerns…here, let me brief you on the first day: The doctor gave me 2 types of chemo drugs: 1) Adramiacin & 2) Taxotere (I get to pee orange!) It took about 3 hours – had a lesson on everything as well, thanks to Jenni and Megs being there for me to take 4 pages of notes!!! OK Peeps! I did it! And so did Jenni – my little sister who had one length long hair down to her waist! “Thanks” to Megs, Alisha, and little Emma Jane who sat with us for 4 ½ hours last night drinking wine and eating pizza while we got our “hair did”! And SUPER THANKS to Mom who cut our hair and put in the funky colors!!! Lucy the Lump: Update #1
My Peeps! The surgery on Monday went well. I have 2 incisions: 1 on the top of the left nipple and a 3inch laceration under my left arm. Lucy ended up being 1.6cm – bigger than what they thought. My lymph nodes came back NEGATIVE – so that’s great news! However, since my tumor was so close to the surface of my skin, they couldn’t get a clear margin (meaning, a boarder without any signs of cancer). SO, Monday I will go back in so that Dr. Cheryl Olson can take some skin…
